LED Facial Coventry
LED light therapy at our aesthetic clinic is Coventry/Birmingham is a modern type of skin rejuvenation designed to treat multiple issues including acne. At Global Health and Beauty Clinic we offer skin rejuvenation treatments like LED light therapy to improve the aesthetics of your skin.
What is LED light therapy?
LED light therapy stimulates the skin’s natural repair and rejuvenation processes. It is safe for all skin types and is effective in the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions. This non-invasive technique uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to combat acne and promote skin rejuvenation.
How does LED light therapy work?
The treatment emits red light which has been shown to stimulate production of collagen in the skin. The LED light is effective at treating certain conditions that are close to the skin’s surface such as acne and infections.
Also known as phototherapy, it improves elasticity, increases blood circulation and promotes the removal of toxins. The increased blood circulation stimulates the anti-ageing process, helps to normalise cellular imbalances and improves skin tone and clarity.
When used consistently, over time, LED lights are thought to penetrate your skin at different depths and cause various reactions in your skin, such as fighting acne-causing bacteria, plumping skin and reducing wrinkles. LED Light Therapy uses colour wavelengths of visible light which have specific skin benefits.
Where is LED Light Therapy most effective?
The use of LED Therapy is a safe procedure delivering a number of therapeutic benefits without side effects. It is beneficial for:
- Rosecea (inflammatory skin condition)
- Used as a supplementary treatment after mesotherapy, laser, fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments, among others.
LED Light therapy can also reduce dark spots and small threaded veins on the face. Scientific studies have shown photo rejuvenation, i.e. exposure to LED treatment, can cause a significant increase in cell regeneration and skin hydration.
Who is suitable for light therapy?
Most people can receive LED treatment. During your consultation with us we will discuss whether or not you require a skin allergy test before starting hyaluronic acid therapy.
Is LED light therapy safe?
Due to the simple nature of the procedure, no pre- or post- care is required, apart from sun protection. Treatment is delivered in our professional and welcoming clinic by our qualified practitioners and it takes just 20 minutes.
What happens during LED light therapy treatments?
Light is omitted into the skin in a quick treatment that doesn’t make any incisions or damage to the skin.
How frequent are treatments?
Typically, one or two treatment every six to eight weeks, yields excellent results. After your initial treatments, we will discuss a maintenance plan with you. During your consultation, our doctors will discuss a personalised treatment and aftercare plan to suit your needs and finances.
What is the recovery like?
In the first couple of hours after LED light therapy, direct sunlight should be avoided and you should wear a high SPF daily. Aside from that you are free to go about your daily life.
How long do LED light therapy treatment results last?
The effects of the LED light therapy are long lasting, although top up treatments are sometimes required. This will be discussed in your consultation. It is often better to combine treatments to get more desired outcomes.
Who is best suited to provide this treatment?
Global Health and Beauty Clinic is registered with Save Face, the organisations that regulates aesthetic practices in the UK and we can offer these treatments.
