PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) & PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)

PRP/PRF (Regenerative Biostimulation)

What is PRP?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a blood-derived product in which platelets are concentrated at least more than three times in plasma above the baseline of that in the whole blood. Platelets are cells in the blood which help promote healing and help accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.

PRP is also known as platelet-rich growth factor – platelet-rich fabrin (PRF) matrix.

Where is PRP used?

Platelets are a natural reservoir of growth factor, therefore, the crux of the therapy is based on stimulations of stem cells and promote healing, reduce inflammation and pain.

What is the clinical application?

It has been used very widely now, as the magic of healing has been recognised with this treatment. It is safe and as it is autologous (your own cells) and no long term complications are reported.

Using Lumiratek

A device, which we use to analyse the blood and assess the platelet quality prior to injection.

Using clarius, U/S scan

Helps to guide PRP injection at the site of inflammation. We help by using the technologies to provide better, evaluated care for our patients.

The difference between iPRF and PRP:

Both PRP and PRF are platelet based growth factors treatment which are isolated using a centrifuge. iPRF – has no anticoagulant added and has platelets rich with the fibrin. This is a rich source of growth factors & tissue regeneration. The cytokines remain trapped on the fibrin mesh which is released slowly. It is thus available on the site for a longer time compared to PRP. This causes the slow and more prolonged reconstructive effect.

In our clinic, we provide this innovative product to help with skin rejuvenation, hair growth stimulation and wound healing.
